Regular and plantilla casual employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government will be receiving P55,000 in bonuses, starting next week, last night disclosed Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who also marked his birthday.
Lacson also announced the increase of gratuity pay from P5,000 to P7,000 for all job order and contract of service employees.
Breaking down the amount, Lacson said P30,000 will be a Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus, P5,000 for the Productivity Enhancement Incentives( PEI) and P20,000 as Service Recognition Incentives (SRI).
That is on top of the mid-year bonus, 14th month pay, and cash gift that was received earlier by qualified Capitol employees.
The provincial government of Negros Occidental was among the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance awardees, a similar recognition it also received in 2023, which entitles employees to receive a Performance Based Bonus which is equivalent to 60 percent of their basic pay.
As of this time, the guidelines for the release of PBB are yet to be released by the Department of Budget and Management.
Lacson instructed the provincial government finance cluster to begin releasing bonuses by Monday next week.
Capitol employees also received P55,000 in bonuses in 2022 and 2023.*
