The provincial government of Negros Occidental has already started to distribute the gratuity pay of Contract of Service and Job Order workers, as mandated by Administrative Order Number 28 issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday said that some of the Capitol COS and JO workers already received their gratuity pay, which was increased from P5,000 to P7,000, as they submitted the required documents early.
The gratuity pay, according to Lacson, is released directly to ATM cards of employees.
Employees may receive the gratuity pay if they have rendered at least four months of actual satisfactory performance of service, as stated in their respective contracts, as of December 15, 2024, along with those whose contracts are still effective as of the same date.
A maximum of P6,000 will be given to those rendered less than four months of actual satisfactory performance of service as of December 15 this year; P5,000 for those who rendered service for two months but less than three months; and a maximum of P4,000 for those who rendered service for less than two months.
They also received food packs and rice from the Negros Occidental provincial government.
On the other hand, Capitol regular and plantilla workers received P55,000 in additional bonuses from the provincial government.*
