Following the report of strong financial performance over the past years, the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental has promoted three provincial government employees as heads of key divisions of its Economic Enterprise Development Department (EEDD).
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II confirmed the promotions of those employees in an interview, stressing that they had played a huge role in the success of the department.
Promoted were Beverly De Oca as head of Negros Residences, Omega Ciocon as head of the Food Terminal Market of Negros Occidental, and Kristine Ann Exito as head of the Negros First CyberCentre.
Diaz, who also serves as the overall officer-in-charge of the EEDD, said that the governor recognized the three officials for their “invaluable contributions” to the expansion and operational improvements of provincial economic enterprises.
This posted unprecedented income levels for calendar years 2024 and 2025, he added.
The changes of leadership are expected to further strengthen management and sustain revenue growth across EEDD-run facilities.
Meanwhile, Diaz shared that the provincial government is also rolling out new developments at the Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary in Murcia, a provincial government-run resort under EEDD.
These include additional attractions such as improved waterfall trails, an enclosure for endemic and endangered species, and the opening of a coffee shop within the resort.
The Governor’s Lodge, with accommodations for up to 100 guests, will likewise be opened for seminars and large gatherings, boosting Mambukal’s role as a tourism and events hub.
EEDD is a provincial government department responsible for managing income-generating projects and assets to boost local revenue.*
