Governor Eugenio Lacson led the distribution of checks for barangay projects, worth P5.7 million, in front of Capitol building in Bacolod City yesterday.
The beneficiaries are Barangay Abo-abo in Murcia, Brgys. XXI, XVI, and XX of Victorias City, Brgy. Zone 1, Talisay City, Brgy. Patag in Silay City, Brgys. Pacol, Bayabas, Central Tabao, and Guintorilan of Valladolid, Brgy. Poblacion in San Enrique, Brgys. Camp Clark, Panaquiao, 9 – Poblacion, and 6 – Poblacion of Isabela, Brgy. Manalad in Ilog, Brgy. Caliling in Cauayan, and Brgys. Zone 1 and Luna of Cadiz City.
Each of the 19 barangays received P300,000 for projects, like the renovation of barangay halls, construction of perimeter fences, rehabilitation of drainage systems, acquisition of multipurpose vehicles, concreting of double lane pavement, construction of health center, and installation of barangay streetlights, a press release from Capitol said.
The checks were personally received by the barangay captains and LGU-authorized representatives in a turnover ceremony, held at the Capitol grounds, the press release added.*
