The 55 Negros Occidental barangays have received P16.5 million worth of financial assistance from the provincial government, for their respective development projects.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the turnover of P300,000 financial assistance each, to 55 Negros Occidental barangays, in a ceremony held on September 16 at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City, which was received by their respective barangay captains.
The financial assistance will either be used for the installation of solar street lights, multipurpose pavement, construction of women’s center, rehabilitation of barangay day care center, or perimeter fence, purchase of office/disaster equipment, purchase of multi-purpose vehicle, concreting of barangay road, improvement of water system, rehabilitation of covered court, expansion of barangay health station, rehabilitation of barangay hall, and installation of barangay CCTV.
The turnover rites were also witnessed by Board Members Andrew Montelibano, Jeffrey Tubola, Sixto Pal Guanzon, and Valentino Miguel Alonso, as well as Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz.
On the other hand, Lacson also turned P1.5 million financial assistance to the scholarship program of Mayor Jilson Tubillara for San Enrique residents.*
