The Gardenville United Football Club Inc. CBR Buglas girls captured the gold medal of the 2nd Handurayo Cup, where Shine Sales and Emjay Samson earned MVP awards.
With the win, the team will be playing in the 1st Mango Ranch, Valencia, Negros Oriental Soccer Championship, according to a press release.
During the elimination round for Girls Born 2010, Erika Jamio of CBR Buglas broke the equalizer following a brace in the 5th minute against Golden Football Club, ending the match 5-nil on the way to a team standing of 3-0-1.
Their finals game ended nil-nil, leading to a penalty shoot-out with three-kickers that finished with a score of 3-2 in aggregate for the win.
In the Girls Born 2008 finals game between CBR Buglas Girls and Pamplona Pontevedra FC A, the game was won by the Buglas Girls, with the only goal scored being an own goal.
The Handurayo Cup was saw the participation of ADA Bacolod, Golden FC, Pamplona Pontevedra A, Pamplona Pontevedra B, and Silay Lokal FC.
