The Central Negros Electric Cooperative retained its Triple A status after the National Electrification Administration gave it a rating of 99.25 percent for an excellent performance last year.
Ceneco acting manager Dan Pondevilla said it is the highest rating given by NEA to electric cooperatives across the country.
Pondevilla said Ceneco and other electric firms were rated based on Financial, Institutional, Technical, and Reportorial standards.
Ceneco has been awarded the Triple A status by NEA since 2016 which, according to Pondevilla, indicates the firm’s remarkable performance as an electric cooperative.
The management of Ceneco, along with the Board of Directors, attributes this milestone to its member-consumers for their unwavering support, he said.
Pondevilla reiterated that Ceneco is committed to fulfill its mission of being the primary economic driver for community development through quality service at reasonable rates.
Meanwhile, Ceneco announced that it will undertake replacement of its corroded electrical poles in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod.
Pondevilla, in an advisory, said the poles need to be replaced to ensure reliability of distribution lines to avoid further serious damage that may result in major interruptions. That is why some portions of La Salle Ville Subdivision will have no electricity from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today while part of Hillside Subdivision will experience power outage from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.*
