Challenge Cup – Mundial de Futbol set for December

The Challenge Cup – Mundial de Futbol that is set for December 7-8 at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City, takes its roots from the Dodo Cup Soccer Championship 2021 held at OISCA in Bago City, according to a press release from the organizers. Alfredo “Dodo” Bustamante is the patriarch of Gardenville United FC, which marks its 17th year.

Mundial de Futbol is in pursuant to C.O. No. 08-15-744 series of 2015 or “The City of Bacolod Football Week” and is powered by Mdot, Binance, Gardenville United FC, BootCamp, NORFA, Abanse Negrense Sports program of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Megaworld NortHill Gateway, with media partners FMR 91.1, Aksyon Radyo 684, Negros Daily Bulletin, and the Visayan DAILY STAR.

The inaugural teams are from NORFA: Buglas Filipinas, Maranatha Centurions Football Club, Jesusa FC kids, Golden FC, Sum-ag Griffins Football Club, Alijis Regent Football Club, 6108 United (Himamaylan), Bacolod Trinity Christian School, Bakyas Football Team, Club de los Hermanos de Futbol (Escalante), Sagay Football Club.

CRFA: Cebu United Football Club.

NOSIRFA: Negros Oriental – Siquijor Regional Football Association Girls Team, Football Kings United (Dumaguete), and Futbolitos FC Dumaguete.*
