
The Fil-Sino 1st ALA Group of Companies Basketball Cup continued with the Chery Tiggo 5 Hybrid Warriors defeating the Chery REV Legends, 95-83.
The Warriors held the lead for the first two quarters, outscoring the Legends 29-21 and 27-16, to lead by 19 points shortly after the half. However, the situation was reversed in the following half as the Legends came out with a different attitude, outscoring the Warriors.
However, their efforts were not enough to complete the comeback as the Legends still came out short by the time the final buzzer sounded.
Cesar Tan led the Chery Tiggo 5 Hybrid Warriors with 19 points and player of the game honors, while Harry Siendo added 17 points and Harvey Eslawa amassed 16 points.
Tata Javillo collected 16 points for Chery REV Legends, while Jeremy Coo and Matthew Tan had 15 and 12 points, respectively.
In the next game, Chery Tiggo Touring Guardians defeated the Jetour Dashing Lightning. Just like their namesake, the Lightning came out fast and got out to a strong start to lead by nine points after one quarter. The Guardians responded with improved defense and came out better in the second to take an 8-point lead by halftime, 43-35.
The Guardian momentum continued in the third and resulted in a 27-18 quarter that flipped the game entirely. The lead going into the final 10 minutes inflated to 23 points as they outscored the Lightning in the quarter, until the final buzzer rang with a final score of 95-72.
Nike Montalvo led Chery Tiggo Touring Guardians with 19 points and player of the game honors, Matt Deles followed with 11 points, while Michael Deocadiz added 10. Meanwhile, Andrei Enad led Jetour Dashing Lightning with 16 points, followed by Charles Macariola with 13.*
