A chicken vendor was shot at Galo-Ramos streets, at the Burgos Public Market area, in Barangay 19, Bacolod City, at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Raymart Idino, 27, of the barangay, was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, where he died later, a police report said.

Investigation showed that two motorcycle-riding suspects approached and gunned down Idino, who was sitting in front of his store, P/Maj. Charles Gever, Station 4 chief, said yesterday.

Idino was shot six times with an unknown caliber of firearm, and succumbed to wounds in his nape, stomach and leg, the police said.

The debt of the victim’s wife was being looked into as one of the motives for the shooting, Gever said, adding that Idino had no criminal records at the police station.*
