In celebration of Children’s Month, The Negros Museum officially opened a new exhibit “Laro: Echoes of Innocence”, a solo exhibition by renowned Negrense artist Ramon De los Santos.
This body of work explores the enduring spirit of Filipino childhood through the lens of traditional street and backyard games. Laro: Echoes of Innocence captures the laughter, energy, and shared joy that once animated neighborhood corners and open spaces—before the rise of digital distractions and urban change.
Through the use of acrylics, terracotta, and pen and ink, the works merge vivid imagery with tactile expression to evoke a sense of nostalgia and belonging. Each piece serves as both memory and mirror—reflecting a time when life was simple, and community was built through play, the artist’s statement said.
De los Santos is a visual artist from Talisay City, Negros Occidental and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros.
The exhibition runs from November 2025 to January 2026.*
