As part of the ongoing admissions at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University for Academic Year 2025-2026, the Office of the Guidance Services will conduct a career orientation and off-site admission testing in select local government units and schools in Negros Occidental this January, a press release from CHMSU said.
Now in its third year, the first stop of the career orientation and admission testing will be at Caliling National High School in Cauayan on January 17.
“CHMSU aims to make the admission testing more accessible to students who live in areas far from our four campuses,” said Juben Palermo, director for Guidance Services.
Next week, CHMSU will travel to Sipalay National High School (Jan. 21), Candoni Municipal Sports Center (Jan. 22), Sagay National High School (Jan. 24), Don Salvador Sofronio Carmona Memorial National High School in Don Salvador Benedicto (Jan. 27), and Calatrava Senior High School (Jan. 30) to serve the graduating senior high school students.
Palermo said senior high school students from nearby schools are also welcome to attend and take the test.
Students taking the admission test are required to duly complete the application form (to be filled out before the test). They must also bring their Learner’s Reference Number, two pieces of 2×2 ID picture, a black ballpen, a pencil, and an eraser.
“This off-site testing is in addition to the upcoming admission testing this February in our four campuses for those who have reserved a schedule through our online portal,” said Palermo.
A total of 20,600 slots for the in-campus admission testing this February were reserved during the registration period from Dec. 27, 2024, until Jan. 9.*
