In celebration of National Arts Month last February, a group art exhibit titled “JOHN 3:16 – Grateful for God’s Amazing Love,” was launched at the CEMPCO Building along Mabini Street, Bacolod City.

The exhibit was hosted by the Christian Artists National Various Arts Society (CANVAS) Teknon in partnership with Agape Family Center Ph Bacolod – PowerlineKids (PLK).

Inspired by the powerful message of Gospel of John 3:16, the exhibit highlights gratitude for God’s unconditional love expressed through various artistic mediums. The show gathered Christian artists and young creatives in a meaningful display of faith-inspired artworks that reflect hope, redemption, and thanksgiving.

The opening ceremony was graced by Art Association of Bacolod – Negros (AABN) president Chrysee Gerona Samillano, who served as the guest of honor. In her message, she commended the artists for using their God-given talents to inspire the community and promote faith through the arts.

A special highlight of the exhibit was the featured works of Ph PowerlineKids (PLK) young artists: Sky and Myrrh Bayles, David Michael Frijas, Azel Faith Guevarra, Charlotte Lopez, Princess Timtiman, Gwen and Justin Maravilla, and Quiony Emperado. Their vibrant and heartfelt creations demonstrated that artistic excellence and spiritual depth can flourish even at a young age.

In addition, CANVAS artists showcased a diverse collection of paintings and mixed-media works that beautifully interpreted the theme of God’s amazing love. The exhibit served not only as a celebration of creativity but also as a testimony of faith, unity, and gratitude.

“JOHN 3:16 – Grateful for God’s Amazing Love” stands as a reminder that art can be a powerful instrument to glorify God and touch lives. The successful launch reflects the growing movement of Christian artists in Bacolod City who are committed to honoring God through their craft.*
