The Christian Life Ministry (CLM) Family in Punta Taytay, Bacolod City, joined the global celebration of World Teachers’ Day on October 5, by honoring its dedicated teacher volunteers who faithfully serve God through kids’ evangelism and community outreach in various puroks of Barangays Punta Taytay and Taloc, a press release said.
The day began with a coastal clean-up activity, where CLM volunteers and community members worked together to restore the beauty of the Punta Taytay shoreline. Alongside this environmental effort, Korean relief clothes and shoes were distributed to residents, bringing both joy and assistance to families in need.
During the Sunday worship service, teacher Jona Macaranas led Lesson 101, teaching the children about the Fruit of the Holy Spirit and the fullness of God through His Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The children actively participated, memorizing Galatians 5:22–23 and joyfully singing “Everybody, Everywhere.”
The celebration also featured the awarding of winners from the Zumba Dance Competition, which included five entries representing different Puroks. The activity fostered unity, energy, and fellowship among participants, who offered their best performances with joy and teamwork.
Macaranas shared, “The perseverance inspired by the Holy Spirit continues to move through these little ones. Even when the internet connection fluctuated, they kept singing and dancing, not relying on it, but staying focused on glorifying the Lord Jesus.”*
