The Negros Forest Park (NFP) in Bacolod City recently hosted a festive Christmas gathering for its dedicated staff and volunteers.
As the island’s leading biodiversity conservation center, NFP continues its mission of raising and breeding native Negros wildlife with the goal of reintroducing them into local forests, while educating the public about the island’s remarkable natural heritage.
Formerly known as the Negros Forest and Ecological Foundation Inc. (NFEFI), the celebration was graced by the presence of NFEFI founder Donnie Poblador, whose vision began the movement in 1986 for forest and wildlife conservation in Negros.
He was joined by former NFEFI trustees Robert Harland, Romy Lopez and Joey Solinap, making the occasion both a joyful reunion and a tribute to the enduring legacy of conservation.*
