Supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo, the presidential standard bearer of broad political coalition 1Sambayan, are mapping out VP Leni’s visit to Negros Occidental on November 5.
1Sambayan and Negros4 Leni convenor Rafael Coscolluela yesterday said that presidential aspirant Robredo has expressed keen interest in meeting her supporters in Negros Occidental, who have asked her to grace the blessing and inauguration of the Leni-Kiko campaign headquarters in Bacolod City.
Coscolluela, former governor of Negros Occidental, also said that details of Robredo’s planned visit, which coincides with the Negros Day commemoration, have yet to be finalized and will be announced soon.
Prior to her scheduled arrival, hundreds of Laban Leni Negros Occidental (LLNO) volunteers are expected to join the nationwide caravan for VP Leni on October 23.
LLNO is a loose group of private individuals that was created through social media and already has a membership of over 1,700 volunteers in just one week.
LLNO convenor and spokesperson, Pinky Mirano Ocampo said their members grew “by word of mouth and we are overwhelmed by the responses as each day, we are receiving requests to join the group by the hundreds.”
Ocampo said the caravan on Saturday will be the third activity LLNO will be conducting and “we are calling on VP Leni supporters to join us.”
She said that their group has successfully raised funds for putting up a Leni billboard near the Negros Occidental High School as their first activity.*
