A commemorative exhibit featuring a series of terracotta scenes from the 1898 Negros Revolution is ongoing at the Silay City Art Space and Showroom in Silay City, in time for the 125th anniversary of Cinco de Noviembre.
The terracotta scenes in the exhibition titled “Cinco de Noviembre” were created by Talisay sculptor/painter Ramon delos Santos, a member of the Association of Talisay Artists, and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros.

The exhibit, which runs from November 2 to December 15, was developed and commissioned in 2023 by the Learning through Art Program of the Balay Negrense Development Corporation as its contribution to the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the 1898 Negros Revolution. It showcases significant events during the revolution from the first week of November and culminating in the capitulation of the Spanish provincial authorities on November 6, and the establishment of the Negros Provincial Revolutionary Government the following day.
Present during the opening were Silay Mayor Joedith Gallego, Joey Gaston, Ramon Conlu, Tourism consultant Ver Pacete, Senior Tourism officer Girlie Sulmaca, artist Ramon de los Santos, Rotary Girl-Mayor Tisha Pauleen Padios, Binky Dalupan of Balay Negrense Development Corp, and Neil Solomon Locsin, Negros Occidental Historical Council Inc. chairman.*
