Circulo de Bacolod president Sandra Sycip was reelected to serve a second term during the club’s election of officers at Casa Orola, Bacolod City on Saturday.
Other elected officers for 2025-2027 are Marianne Torres – vice president, Irish Mae Siason – secretary, Blyth Balbin – treasurer, Patty Jane Ong and Ili Marie Arnaiz – business managers, Mariam Khodir – public relations officer, Eva Gean Amorte – auditor, and board of directors – Deoden Monillo, Imogene Kana-an, and Alfredo Tonogbanua.
Juan Orla Jr. serves as honorary chairman.
The Circulo de Bacolod has a rich history of commitment for promotion and preservation of arts, culture and history, instilling love and pride for Bacolodnons and Negrosanons, understanding local traditions and appreciation of historical narratives.
Founded in 1987 by Luisa Medel Howard, on the eve of her retirement after years as liaison officer of the Philippine Center in New York, Circulo de Bacolod also augmented the activities of the Philippine Centennial Celebration of 2000.*
