City holds swab test orientation

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who heads the Bacolod City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Task Force, met online with barangay captains, barangay health emergency response teams, and Bacolod City Police Office station commanders for a continuing orientation on the process and flow of swab tests, a press release from City Hall said.

It added that IATF-Visayas chief implementer Mel Feliciano requested that swabbing be conducted on all backlog cases.

Shauna May Suarez of the EOC Data Collection and Management discussed the proper filling out of the Case Investigation Form (CIF) to ensure a complete disclosure of truthful information as a pre-requisite to swabbing.

Dr. Chris Sorongon, EOC deputy for medical, gave an orientation on the detailed process and flow of what actions should be taken by stakeholders before, during, and after swabbing.

The process flow includes the proper filling out of the CIF, swab testing, proper isolation, and extraction of confirmed positive patients to be brought to quarantine facilities.

The meeting was attended by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran – EOC TF assistant head, Councilor Cindy Rojas – chair of the Action Team on Non-OFW Returning Residents, Councilor Archie Baribar – chair of the Exit Planning Team, Councilor Lady Gles Pallen – president of Liga ng nga Barangay, City Administrator Em Ang – executive director of the EOC, Dr. Ralph Nico Selibio – World Health Organization Philippines consultant on Covid Response, City Health Officer Dr. Ma. Carmela Gensoli, EOC cluster deputies, City Hall department and office heads, and executive assistants, the press release added.*
