CLMRH limits admissions to ‘extreme emergency cases’

BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

The management of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City yesterday issued an advisory informing the public that its Departments of Pediatrics, as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology will be limiting to admissions to “extreme emergency cases.”

This was after some its personnel assigned in those departments were exposed to a colleague who tested positive for COVID-19.

All of the exposed personnel will have to undergo isolation to prevent the spread of the virus at the hospital areas, disclosed by Dr. Julius Drilon, who is the Medical Center chief, said in an issued advisory.

The advisory further said that the hospital will strictly enforce the Patients Transfer Coordination Protocol, with patients transfers should be coordinated through the Hospital Operations Center.*
