Brkthru Ventures, Inc. launched its inaugural World Class Coaching Lab on August 14, where the event brought together HR heads and managers from various companies.
In priming participants for the practice sessions, Meta-Coach Aldem shed light on the fact that cognitive biases tend to hinder employee performance, and even leaders aren’t immune to these mental traps so the importance for the coach to manage his mental state to be primed for the coaching conversation.
According to a press release, the bulk of the session saw triad coaching practice sessions where participants experienced firsthand the power of the well-formed outcome script as they rotated roles between coach, coachee, and observer. Each round provided a distinct perspective as participants experienced different roles.
The event showcased how coaching can be a real time catalyst for personal and professional growth. Practices were not merely pretend role plays but actual conversations of each participant’s goals and challenges in executing them.
Several participants were amazed that the unassuming questions used in the script brought an uncommon awareness of the deeper aspects of their current situation and facilitated more clarity of direction and conviction to execute their goals, aside from allowing them to define a more structured workable strategy.
The enlightening practice owes in no small part to the cutting edge technology on Neuro-Semantics, which scientifically applies the influencing skills masterfully practiced by communication experts.
The next coaching lab, open to all managers and leaders seeking to elevate their leadership skills and unlock their team’s potential, is set for September 25, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Circle Inn Hotel. For now, it will be a monthly event to sharpen leaders’ coaching skills.*
