A motorist in Cadiz City lost his life after his motorcycle slammed into a coconut tree yesterday midnight along the National Highway of Hacienda Omapog, Barangay Luna.
Investigations revealed that, according to a witness, the victim was riding his Yamaha Sniper motorcycle.
Upon reaching a curved portion of the road at the incident site, the driver lost control of his motorcycle and collided with a coconut tree situated beside the road.
As a result, the driver fell onto the roadside and sustained injuries to different parts of his body.
He was brought to Cadiz District Hospital for medical treatment but was later pronounced dead by the attending physician.
The victim was identified as alias JR, 32 years old, a resident of Sitio Naga Angela, Barangay Sicaba, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The damaged motorcycle was brought to the Cadiz Police Station for proper disposition.*
