
The Bacolod City Public Library held a joint culminating ceremony and display of generative digital outputs for Basic Computer Training Course Batches 23 and 24 at the Bacolod City Government Center lobby.
The program opened with a prayer by Batch 24 graduate Rosario Te and a welcome message from FBCPL president Flora Carmona. Richard Chiu, executive assistant to Mayor Greg Gasataya, delivered the keynote address affirming the city’s support for digital literacy.
Highlights included a performance of the Bacolod City Masskara dancers from the Bacolod, an intermission number from BCT participants, and the display of their AI outputs. An inspirational message was shared by Batch 22 president Johanna Villanueva and impression messages by special awardee Lilia Sanoy and Batch 23 president Jasmin Beloya.
Remia Quebrar, BCT Instructor and FBCPL founder, led the presentation of the graduates and were accepted by Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee chairman on Education, Al Victor Espino. Certificates of completion and awards for special awardees were also given, followed by the induction of new Batch 24 officers.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Jasmin Beloya with Batch 24 president Salvador Malala Jr. and Batch 22 president Johanna Villanueva serving as masters of ceremony.*
