A 37-year-old construction worker is in critical condition after his neck was slashed by a fellow worker at Sitio Moning, Barangay Cabadiangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental, on Monday.
Investigation by the Sipalay City Police Station revealed that the suspect, alias ‘Chris,’ 26, a resident of the barangay, was having a drinking session with the victim, who is from Barangay 5.
The session took place inside the suspect’s house.
According to reports, during the drinking session, the suspect confronted the victim over a complaint from his wife that the latter had touched her private parts, which triggered the incident.
The victim was immediately rushed to Sipalay City Infirmary and is in stable condition.
The suspect was apprehended at the scene and remains in police custody for proper disposition.*
