Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant opened two branches in Bacolod City over the weekend, in time for the celebration of Mother’s Day.
Leading the opening of its 111th branch in Ayala Malls Capitol Central Saturday were Patricia Marañon-Tan, Conti’s Bakeshop VP group general manager; philanthropist Sonya Marañon Sarosa, owner of Natures Village Hotel, and a recipient of the Signum Lasallianum Award granted to leaders whose public service advances the mission and values of Saint John Baptist La Salle; and Maria Sharon Ciocon, Ayala Malls Capitol Central (AMCC).
Renowned for its delightful cakes, pastries, and signature dishes, the popular dining chain was founded in 1997 by three sisters: Cecille Conti-Marañon, Carole Conti-Sumulong, and Angela Conti-Martinez.
Marañon-Tan said Conti’s started humbly as a bakeshop in a little house on BF Parañaque. Her mother, who was married to a Negrense, was one of those who started it.
This is the last leg of their Western Visayas opening which concluded with their 111th store in Ayala Malls Capitol Central on May 9. Their 110th store opened at the North Block of SM City Bacolod on May 8.
Marañon-Tan promised that they will continue to offer the same Conti’s cakes of the highest quality and is inviting Negrenses to try their desserts, especially their best seller the “Mango Bravo.”*
