Four more drug suspects were apprehended by the police in separate buy-bust operations on Wednesday and Thursday in Negros Occidental that also yielded more than P27,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The arrest on Thursday of a drug suspect, identified by the police as Russel Aquino, 49, in Brgy. 4, Silay City, yielded two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600 and P500 in marked money.
Suspected shabu worth P10,000 and its paraphernalia were also taken by the police from the possession of Alvin Tecson in another buy-bust operation at Osmeña Avenue in Brgy. 5, Victorias City, also on Thursday.
Recovered by the police during the buy-bust operation were P400 in marked money, P2,050 in cash believed to be derived from the sale of illegal drugs and a cellular phone.
Policemen also arrested Vioven Siscar, 52, in another buy-bust operation on July 9 in Sitio Pucatod, Brgy. Payao, Binalbagan, on the same day.
The apprehension of Siscar also yielded P2,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money and P700 in cash believed also to be proceeds from sale of illegal drugs.
Another P2,000 worth of suspected shabu, P200 in marked money and P120 in cash were also seized by the police from Melvin Panes, a 44-year-old laborer, who was apprehended during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Lag-asan in Bago City, on July 8.
All four arrested drug suspects are now in jail.*
