The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported a zero major incident record inside the festival sites, throughout the successful celebration of BacoLaodiat Festival 2025, which ran from January 28 to February 2, marking the city’s grand observance of the Chinese New Year.
The BCPO deployed an extensive security force, including uniformed personnel, force multipliers, and intelligence operatives, to key areas of the festival, such as the Yuan Thong Temple along Burgos Street, Lantern Street Dance and Cultural Competition and Emperor’s Market at the North Capitol Road, as well as in malls, and at the grand fireworks display. Roving patrols and checkpoints were also implemented to prevent untoward incidents, while traffic enforcers ensured smooth vehicular and pedestrian movement.
The BCPO expressed gratitude to the people of Bacolod, the festival organizers, and all agencies involved for their cooperation in making Bacolaodiat Festival 2025 a peaceful and joyous celebration of Chinese-Filipino cultures and traditions.
