Policemen seized firearms and an explosive in separate raids on November 19 in Negros Occidental, also leading to the arrest of three suspects.
A 53-year-old farmer, whose identity was withheld by the police, was apprehended by the police during a raid at his residence at Purok Najaba in Brgy. Bacong, Bago City, Negros Occidental, by virtue of a search warrant issued by a court.
The raid led to the recovery of a fragmentation grenade and a caliber .357 Magnum revolver with six ammunition.
Another raid conducted by the police also resulted in the arrest of another suspect, whose identity was also withheld by the police, at Purok Maghirupay in Brgy. Paraiso, Sagay City, along with the recovery of a revolver with three live ammunition, and a holster.
Meanwhile, an improvised 9mm revolver with four live ammunition was recovered by the police from a 31-year-old suspect, who was chasing his brother in law at Purok Kalye Onse in Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City.
All the arrested suspects are currently locked up in jail.*
