Two drug suspects were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on April 22, resulting in the seizure of over P510,000 worth of suspected shabu.
In the first operation, at approximately 3:20 a.m., operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) apprehended a 35-year-old suspect identified only as alias ‘Bol’ at Purok Gonzaga, Barangay Taculing.
Authorities recovered approximately 25 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P170,000.
Later that evening, at around 11:30 p.m., the BCPO-CDEU conducted a second operation in Purok Bulak, Barangay Mandalagan, which led to the arrest of 40-year-old alias ‘Chad.’
Police seized 14 plastic sachets containing roughly 50 grams of suspected shabu, valued at approximately P340,000, along with drug paraphernalia and a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.
Reports said that alias ‘Chad’ was a repeat offender who was previously imprisoned for drug-related charges from 2017 to 2019.
Both suspects are currently in police custody and face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
