Policemen confiscated P849,000 worth of suspected shabu from five arrested suspects, as an offshoot of a series of buy bust operations on March 2 in Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of an alias Tyson on Sunday, at Villa Victoria in Barangay 13, Victorias City, led to the recovery of about 60 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P408,000.
Another buy bust operation in Brgy. Punta Taytay, Bacolod City, led to the arrest of a couple and the seizure of an estimated 55 grams of suspected shabu valued at P374,000, according to a statement issued by the Bacolod City Police Office.
The three arrested suspects were all classified by the police as High Value Individual drug personalities.
Separate buy bust operations in cities of San Carlos and Himamaylan, Negros Occidental, also led to the arrest of two more drug suspects, which also yielded eight grams of suspected shabu valued at P57,000, marked money of P1,100, and P600 in cash.*
