Bacolod Councilor Wilson Gamboa said yesterday that he feels sorry for the new owner of PrimeWater Infrastructure Corporation.
His statement stemmed from reports that the water service provider had been sold.
“I believe that at the end of the day, Lucio Co should take care, maybe he was scammed into buying a company that’s going down,” he said.
Gamboa also stated that the ownership of the entity providing water services to Bacolod City has become a secondary issue.
The councilor added that his primary call remains the rescission or termination of the contract, which he describes as onerous and grossly disadvantageous to consumers.
The councilor stated that regardless of which company replaces PrimeWater, they would still be operating under the same JVA.*
