A couple and their two-month-old baby yesterday died during a vehicular accident in Sitio Ulay, Brgy. Prosperidad, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police investigations show that the 125cc Rusi motorcycle which the victims were riding was accidentally hit by a water tanker truck which was reported to have suffered a mechanical malfunction.
Dead on the spot was identified by the San Carlos City police as Jomar Jirasol, 29, who was driving the motorcycle, his wife, Angeline, 19 and their two-month-old baby.
On the other hand, the couple’s 10-year-old son miraculously survived. He is now being treated for his injuries at the San Carlos City Hospital.
The driver of the water tanker truck identified by the police as Mykill Galgo is now being detained at the San Carlos City police custodial facility.*
