Couple, 4 others yield P.6M in shabu

The arrest of a couple, a minor and three other drug suspects in separate buy bust operations in highly-urbanized Bacolod City and Kabankalan City, were reported by the police to have yielded more than P625,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Operatives of the police City Drug Enforcement Unit yesterday apprehended Rodmar Abada, alias Zan, and his live in partner, Eunice Latuna, alias Denice, during a buy bust operation at Purok Kawayan in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.

The arrest of Abada, classified by the police as High Value Individual in illegal drug operations, and Latuna, yielded an estimated 81 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P550,800, marked money of P1,000 and P250 in cash.

A minor was also arrested by the police in another buy bust operation at Purok Sigay in Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, on August 9.

His apprehension also yielded about three grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P20,400.

PLt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, BCPO spokesperson, also reported the arrest of another drug suspect he identified as John Mark Millendez, alias Edot, at Purok Katilingban in Brgy. 40, Bacolod City.

Gaban said the apprehension of Millendez, 34, on Monday, also led to the confiscation of about six grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P40,800, marked money of P500 and P803 in cash.

Another buy bust operation on Aug. 8 at Purok 2 in Brgy. 6, Kabankalan City, also led to the arrest of drug suspects identified by the police as Norelyn Esmane and Jermar Tanaleon.

Recovered by the police from two arrested drug suspects were an estimated two grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P13,600, a cellular phone, P500 in marked money and P200 in cash.*
