A couple was reported by the police to have died on October 5, as a result of a vehicular collision along the highway of Purok Masinadyahon in Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Both victims, a 47-year-old farmer and his wife, succumbed to serious injuries and were declared dead on arrival at the Bago City Hospital, according to the police.
Initial police investigation showed that the two victims were riding a Kawasaki Fury 125cc motorcycle, which figured in a collision with a Toyota Hilux Conquest pickup driven by a 22-year-old college student.
While the two victims, whose identities withheld by the Bago City police, died, the 22-year-old student who surrendered to the Bago City Police Station, was unharmed.
Both vehicles also suffered heavy damage, according to the police.*
