The court has approved the issuance of a cyber warrant allowing the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) to open Freya Mae Go’s social media account and cellular data as part of the investigation.
BCPO Director PCol. Joeresty Coronica said on Wednesday that they are now waiting for the feedback of Meta Platforms Inc. and the telecommunications company.
Coronica stated that the Warrant to Disclose Computer Data will allow them to recover data and look into conversations that could help in the resolution of the case.
Since the murder of Go last October 2025, six persons of interest have been identified but the suspect remains unknown.
“We are not neglecting this. The case is moving forward as best as we can, and it also depends on the cooperation [of the public], especially from those who can provide CCTV footage.”
The police are simultaneously continuing their review of CCTV footage from 44 requested locations, with 22 recordings already secured and the remainder still undergoing follow-up.
Meanwhile, the P100,000 reward offered by the Bacolod City government still stands for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.*
