The Covid-19 recovery rate in Bacolod City had reached 89.75 percent, as of July 28, Emergency Operations Center records show.
Of 15,198 individuals who tested positive for Covid, 13,641 have already recuperated.
More than 1,000 active cases were recorded, but, as of press time, about 500 residents had succumbed to the disease.
EOC executive director Em Ang also reported that they had reached their quota early yesterday at the vaccination center at City Mall Goldenfield Complex.
Ang said that by 11 a.m., they were able to vaccinate 100 persons, so the EOC advised those who were waiting for their turn to be vaccinated to go to other vaccination sites.
The vaccination center at the City Mall Goldenfield complex is the fourth mall-based inoculation site opened by the Bacolod City government to accommodate residents who wish to get their jabs against the coronavirus disease 2019.
The three others are at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central, SM City, and Robinsons Place Bacolod.
MORE VACCINATION CENTERS
Vaccination centers at the Andres Bonifacio Elementary School, City Health Office, and in barangays Bata, Mandalagan, Sum-ag, Singcang Airport, and Pahanocoy, were also opened yesterday.
Councilor Renecito Novero, Vaccination Center Committee chairman, said it will be beneficial to add more inoculation sites.
Novero said he hopes that more private firms will offer spaces to be utilized as vaccination centers, adding that it will be a big boost to the city’s inoculation campaign.*
