
Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B) marked a milestone in its commitment to excellence in healthcare education with the inauguration of its advanced Nursing Arts Laboratory on August 8, at the Villa San Agustin Campus.
According to a press release, the state-of-the-art hospital simulation facility is poised to transform nursing education in Western Visayas, equipping students with the skills and confidence necessary to excel in the complexities of modern healthcare.
The newly established laboratory features cutting-edge simulation technology, providing Augustinian nursing students with an immersive and comprehensive learning experience. This ensures nursing graduates are not only highly proficient but also well-prepared to assume leadership roles in the dynamic healthcare environment.
Reyma Magbanua, PhD, RN, Dean of College of Health and Allied Professions (CHAP) expressed institutional pride and highlighted the transformative impact of the laboratory on nursing education, the community, and the future of healthcare leadership.
The inauguration of this landmark facility underscores Colegio San Agustin – Bacolod’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and the cultivation of compassionate, highly skilled Augustinian nurses who will shape the future of healthcare.
Magbanua also acknowledged Colegio San Agustin president, Rev. Fr. Jose Rene Delariarte, OSA, whose leadership and efforts were instrumental in bringing the project to fruition.
During the event, the CSA-B Nursing Alumni Association was also present at the Deed of Donation Signing and Turnover Ceremony, underscoring their continued support for the college and its mission.

Advanced High-Fidelity Simulators: Replicating a diverse range of real-world medical scenarios with exceptional realism, enabling students to refine their critical thinking, decision-making, and crisis management capabilities within a controlled and safe environment.
Immersive and Fully Equipped Hospital Wards: Providing a meticulously replicated clinical setting, allowing students to master essential nursing procedures, enhance their patient care skills, and mitigate anxiety associated with real-world clinical experiences.
The nursing arts laboratory renovation underscores CSA-B’s dedication to addressing the escalating demand for highly skilled nurses in the region. By providing hands-on training with advanced technology, CSA- B is empowering its graduates to deliver exceptional patient care, drive innovation, and assume leadership roles within the evolving healthcare landscape.
