CSC honors NegOcc gov’t employees

Several government employees in Negros Occidental were honored by the Civil Service Commission in Western Visayas on September 28, as part of its 122nd Philippine Civil Service anniversary held in Iloilo City.

The Valladolid District Hospital Management Team was named Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award (Group Category) Regional Winner in the 2022 Search for Outstanding Government Workers of the Civil Service Commission.

The VDH Management Team is headed by Chief of Hospital, Dr. Myre Parpa, with members composed of Dr. Marichelle Morales, Rebecca Alit, Elizabeth Monsale, and Carmel Alumna Ughayon.

Dubbed as “Pasidungog 2022,” the CSC 6 threw a recognition ceremony for government workers who went beyond the call of duty by innovating and pioneering programs and projects that benefited their respective communities, and exhibited exemplary behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.

In a news release, CSC 6 announced that the Department of Interior and Local Government Bago City, represented by Local Government Operations Officer VI Mia Asuncion Gatilano, was among the five awardees for its Pagasa Award, under the group category.

PLt. Col. Mark Darroca, police chief of Silay City in Negros Occidental and Melinda Baterna, assistant principal of Handumanan High School in Bacolod City, were among the 10 winners for the Dangal ng Bayan award for 2022.*
