Day 2 of Panaad sa Negros earns P2M, festival sites peaceful – Capitol

• GILBERT P. BAYORAN

More than P2 million in income was generated from sales of products displayed and food served in the booths of 32 participating local government units, as the 30th edition of Panaad sa Negros Festival entered its second day.

The P2,043,389.50 income is higher by P439,000, compared to the P1,603,710 recorded on the second day of Panaad sa Negros festival in 2025, according to data provided by Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II.

The income on the first day of this year’s festival was reported at P3,385,130.14, a significant increase of P1,525,823.64 compared to last year.

Amid challenges brought about by the fuel crisis, Panaad festival sites still gathered an estimated almost 11,000 visitors on the second day.

Organizers are also expecting a bigger crowd on the third day of the festival, due to the concert of the Sexbomb Dancers.

Diaz also reported a much improved flow of traffic inside and outside of the festival sites, as they frequently checked on the chokepoints with the help of traffic enforcers, police and barangay tanods who are augmenting personnel of the Capitol Security and Safety Division.

There were no reports of any crime incidents in the past two days of the festival, he added.

Almost 900 personnel of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, and other law enforcement agencies have been mobilized to maintain peace and order at the Panaad Park.

Diaz thanked the stakeholders and visitors for their cooperation.*
