Authorities are currently working to identify a man whose dead body was discovered in an empty lot in Bangga Adam, Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, yesterday morning, March 5.

The discovery was made around 5:00 a.m. by an e-bike driver, who promptly reported the incident to Bacolod City Police Station 8.

According to PCapt Sherwin Galupar, the station chief, the victim is estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, with a height of approximately 5”3’, of medium build and brown complexion.

The individual was found shirtless and wearing only boxer shorts.

The victim sustained a large wound to the neck and multiple bruises.

Police are awaiting the scene of the crime report to determine the exact cause of death, and whether torture was involved.

Investigators are also verifying if the lot was the actual site of the incident or if the body was simply left there.
