The body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Binalbagan River early Sunday morning, at Purok Alpine, Hacienda Soledad, Barangay San Vicente, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental
The initial investigation said that the victim might be in his 30s or 40s, with a height about 5’3” to 5’5”, wearing a black shirt and a silver ring class engraved with “BS MAR-E Maritime Education,” and a silver wristwatch engraved with the name “Elmer Ingo”.
According to a resident near the river, he discovered the body, whose head and shoulders were inside a sack.
“We found no injuries in the body, […] it is possible that the man just drifted here. We talked with the doctor who conducted the medico legal and he estimated that the victim has been dead for more or less 3 days,” Binalbagan Police Chief PCpt. Joelan Vinson said.
Vinson added that there are no current reports of a missing person in Binalbagan.*
