The dead body of a man was found inside his home at Purok Kasantolan, Barangay Mailum, in Bago City at around 5:30 in the afternoon of Saturday.
The victim was identified as alias “Sanny,” a 53-year-old laborer and a resident of the said barangay.
Based on the initial investigation of the Bago City Police Office, the victim had not been seen for about four days. The victim’s sister went to the house to check the situation of her brother, but she found the victim dead.
The victim was last seen by his sister on August 6 while drinking liquor outside his house. It was believed the victim suffered from weakness due to excessive hunger and drunkenness.
The found body was in a state of decomposition and infested with maggots. Upon investigation, no signs of struggle or irregularities were found inside the house or its surroundings.
The cadaver was brought to a funeral parlor and will undergo post-mortem investigation.*
