A body of an unidentified man was discovered inside a private vehicle around 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Palm Estates, Futura Homes, Barangay Efigenio Lizares, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
According to an initial investigation by the Talisay City Police Station, the owner of the vehicle noticed a strange foul odor emanating from his car and observed several flies gathering around it.
Upon opening the vehicle, he found the body of an unidentified male, already in an advanced state of decomposition. The owner stated that he does not know the identity of the deceased.
The victim was found wearing red shorts and was shirtless. It is believed that he had been dead for approximately five days prior to the discovery.
Authorities noted signs of a struggle inside the vehicle, which could suggest foul play. However, investigators are still exploring various angles in the case.
The vehicle owner reported that he did not notice any suspicious activity prior to the discovery. The vehicle was only used occasionally, as the owner has multiple cars. Further investigations are underway to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the cause of death.
The Talisay City Police Station will coordinate with the vehicle owner to facilitate the ongoing probe.*
