Greg Gasataya, respectively), Bacolod Fire Marshal Chief Insp. Rodel Legaspi and BFP 6 regional director Chief Supt. Jerry Csndido (l-r) during the turnover of one unit fire truck to the Bacolod Fire Station*

The Department of Interior and Local Government turned over to the Bureau of Fire Protection National Headquarters 35 units of brand new firetrucks for distribution to the different fire stations in the country, including Bacolod City.

Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya thanked Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos “for their enthusiastic turnover of a brand new firetruck… for the disaster response of Bacolod City.”

This is in addition to the 13 units of fire trucks that BFP Bacolod and its seven fire substations presently have.

Gasataya said he had nothing to do with the project. However, he has requested for a brand new patrol vehicle for the Bacolod City Police Office.

Present at the ceremonial turnover were Bacolod Councilor Psyche Marie Sy and Martin Espinosa, who represented Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and Gasataya, Bacolod Fire Marshal Chief Insp. Rodel Legaspi and BFP 6 regional director Chief Supt. Jerry Candido.

Meanwhile, the BFP6 also announced it has come up with an instructional video material about EDITH or Exit Drill In The Home.*
