The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-San Carlos reissued safety seals to three national agencies in San Carlos City Wednesday.
Among the agencies reassessed for compliance of the minimum health protocol set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and reissued with safety seals are the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), San Carlos City Police Station and San Carlos City District Jail (SCDJ).
Atty. Pierra Lamayo, LGOO VI of DILG-San Carlos and head of the evaluation/inspection team, said the reissuance of the safety seal is done every six months to make sure protocols are complied with amid the ongoing pandemic.
Lamayo commended the three agencies which have maintained the minimum health protocols and made recommendations to further improve safety mandate within the police station and BFP.
She also urged other agencies, schools or barangays to apply for safety seal so clients doing transactions within their offices will be confident that they are safe from COVID-19.
JO1 Junliza Borantes, jail nurse and safety seal in-charge of the SCDJ, said that since jail visitation has been allowed, securing the facility is important and the seal serves as their badge that the facility is COVID-free.
Representatives of the Philippine National Police, BFP and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology were also part of the evaluation/inspection team.*
