Eight competing barangays presented their respective festivals during the Dinagsa Festival Sinaot Cadiznon in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on January 24.
Tubokiran Festival of Barangay Mabini represented by Mabini Farm School, emerged as this year’s champion.
Their street dance presentation portrays the importance of education to the lives of the sakadas and their children. The group took home P70,000 in cash prize and championship trophy.
Kasagan Festival of Barangay Tiglawigan represented by Tiglawigan National High School, was first runner-up. The group received P60,000 in cash prize.
Iwagan Festival of Barangay Tinampa-an represented by Villacin National High School, was second runner-up and received P50,000 in cash prize. The group also bagged minor awards including Best Production Design, Best in Costume, and Best Choreography.




Humayan Festival of Barangay Celestino Villacin represented by Alimatoc Farm School, was third runner-up and received P40,000 in cash prize.
Meanwhile, Kayogan Festival of Barangay Burgos represented by Burgos National High School, was fourth runner-up and received P30,000 in cash prize.
The awarding of prizes to the winners were presented by Councilor Lalen Lamis and Tourism officer Julie Grace Dominguez, together with the panel of judges.*
