A distressed Overseas Filipino Worker was finally returned to her home in Hacienda Lumbia, Brgy. Alicante, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental, with the help of the municipal OFW Federation.

Donna Saber, an OFW from Dubai City in United Arab Emirates, who suffered from a stroke, arrived yesterday at the Bacolod-Silay Airport, where she was fetched by EB Magalona OFW Help Desk focal person Liza Borja, Nilo Ortizo, president of the EB Magalona OFW Federation, and personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Ortizo disclosed that the repatriation of Saber pushed through after her blood sugar levels stabilized, since she is diabetic.

Her repatriation was facilitated by the Center for Migrant Advocacy, thru the Philippine Consulate in Dubai, which assisted her in her flight home, after coordination with the EB Magalona OFW Help Desk, led by Jessilyn Plaza.*
