Seventy-five years is more than just a number; it represents generations of commitment and countless lives saved by The Doctor’s Hospital Inc. (TDHI), which kicked off celebrations for its 75th Founding Anniversary.
The weeklong celebration began yesterday at the TFHI Function Hall, with a tribute to the very backbone of the hospital, honoring retirees and tenured employees who have dedicated more than 20 years of service.
“Without you in Doctors Hospital, we won’t reach this [moment] now. The real person that brings us where we are today is you,” TDHI President Noel Antenor Cruz said.
Twenty-six tenured employees, spanning from 20 to 35 years of service, were awarded with cash and certificates.
Meanwhile, 4 retirees were also honored by the hospital, giving them a plaque, cash, and customized watch.
“I’ve never imagined that this place will be more than just an office, it became my second home. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come,” said Assistant Chief Nurse Perry Rose Pamela Yulo during her appreciation message as one of the tenured employees.
In their one week celebration, TDHI will also be honoring various people who journeyed with them including a Partners (Suppliers) Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Retiree’s day: A TDHI Home at 75 on Wednesday; Gifts from the Heart for Patients and Annual Stockholders Meeting on Thursday; Medical Post Graduate Course, Nurses Week Celebration, and President’s Night on Friday.
“We have more patients not to earn from them, but we have more people to serve,” Cruz added.*
