The Municipality of E. B. Magalona welcomed the team from the Department of Tourism (DoT) – Region 6 to the Tomongtong Mangrove Eco-Trail in Barangay Tomongtong Tuesday for a photo shoot of the place and the blue crabs.

E. B. Magalona is regarded as “The Blue Crab Capital of Negros Occidental,” a press release from the PIO of E.B. Magalona said.

The DOT-6 is doing a product audit and inventory of the tourism destinations and cultural and heritage sites of Negros Occidental.

The DOT-6 team is led by Ray Tabafunda of the Product Audit and Promotion Division, with production manager Rhoderick Tecson, drone operator Jezel Taparan, photographer June Famur, videographer Ian Cordero, and production assistant Jonathan Navarro.

Assisting them were Ma. Teresa Alvarez, designated head of the Municipal Tourism Office; Jojo Vargas, head of Municipal Office; Tomongtong Punong Barangay Haydiginia Bendecion and Kagawad Felipe Deguira Jr.*
