A driver was shot in the head by a still unidentified gunman at San Juan Street in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 in Bacolod City, at about 6:30 last night.
Police Station 2 personnel brought the victim, identified as Eduardo Garcia, 48, of the barangay, on board a patrol vehicle, to the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital because most of the ambulances were being utilized in transporting coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients.
Initial investigation showed that Garcia had just bought goods from a sari-sari store when the gunman shot him, P/Capt. Leo Estopa, Station 2 chief, said.
The police are searching for the gunman on a blue Raider motorcycle, and his companion riding a yellow Honda XRM motorcycle, who escaped after the shooting incident, Estopa said.
Follow-up investigation is still ongoing.*
